How Does an Acoustic Wall Panel Work?

 

The acoustic wall panel functions by absorbing and diffusing sound waves. The high-porosity PET core captures mid- to high-frequency noise (1,000–4,000 Hz), such as human speech, music, or daily activity sounds, while the wood slat or veneer surface helps scatter residual reflections. This layered design minimizes echo and reverberation, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment for living, working, or hospitality spaces.

 

• Mid-high frequency range (1250–2000Hz): Suitable for professional spaces such as KTVs and recording studios. It helps reduce reverberation caused by music playback, resulting in clearer sound quality.

How to Install Acoustic Wall Panels?

 

 

Our acoustic wall panels offer four convenient installation methods, adaptable to walls, ceilings, and various substrates:

 

1. Direct Wall Gluing: Simply adhere the panel directly to the wall using construction glue or grab adhesive.
Direct Wall Screwing: Choose screws matching the backing color (black screws for black backing, silver/grey screws for grey backing), then screw the panel directly into the wall through the acoustic felt. We recommend using at least 9 screws per panel, spaced 3.15"" horizontally and 24"" vertically.

2. For ceiling installation, ensure screws are fastened to ceiling joists. Use appropriate fixings for surfaces like plasterboard.

3. Timber Batten Installation: First secure 1.8"" timber battens to the wall, then screw the panel into the battens through the acoustic felt. Filling the gaps between battens with Rockwool will achieve Class A sound absorption.

4. Light Steel Keel Installation: Mount light steel keels 3.94"" away from the wall; the recommended spacing between vertical keels is 23.6"" (adjustable as needed). Fill the space between keels with sound-insulating cotton for better absorption, then fix the panel to the keels with screws."
