Recently, at the 34th International Furniture, Accessories and Decorative Materials Exhibition "Мебель 2023" in Russia, the Russian Wood and Furniture Association AMDPR announced the production and sales performance of the country's woodworking industry in the third quarter.
Despite the unstable economic situation, the performance of Russian companies in the third quarter of 2023 still hit a new high, even leaving behind the level before the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in 2019.
This year, Russia's furniture production in the first nine months increased by 27.3%, and the production value increased by 19.1%, reaching 307.7 billion rubles (approximately RMB 24.8 billion). Particleboard production increased by 12%. Production of fiberboard and plywood is almost equivalent to 2022 levels.
At the same time, the association expects this positive trend to continue until the end of this year.
