In 2020, the total fiscal revenue of Qintang District ranks 20th in Guangxi. After the completion of the project, the originally narrow and turbulent section of the Tantang District became a wide and peaceful artificial lake. In 2004, the second year of the establishment of Qintang District, China Resources Cement (Guigang) Co., Ltd. was introduced locally, and a dedicated wharf with an annual cargo throughput of 4.6 million tons was built on the banks of Shika Town and Daling Township, creating Qintang A new era in the construction of freight terminals in the district. In April 2010, the Ministry of Transport approved the implementation of the "Guigang Port Master Plan". The central wharf along the coast of Qintang District of Yujiang River was included in the Yushui operation area of the central port of Guigang, and the construction of Yongtai Wharf started. In August 2018, the whole line of Yongtai Wharf was completed, 9 3,000-ton berths were built, and the total annual cargo throughput was 5.05 million tons.
At present, 8 modern port terminals have been built along the coast of Qintang District of Yujiang River, with 19 berths above 2,000 tons, with an annual design throughput of 15 million tons. At the same time, Guigang Industrial Investment Terminal has reserved a shoreline for construction at a later date. In the first half of this year, the port terminal in Qintang District completed a cargo throughput of 6.22 million tons, an increase of 47.1%.
"Recently, the second line of the Guigang shipping hub ship lock project was completed. The annual navigation capacity has jumped from 12 million tons to 35 million tons, and the waiting time has been reduced from more than 3 days to ‘just come and go’.” Zhou Changyong said.
The manufacturing industry came from behind
The rise of the port has given birth to an important green building material production base in Guangxi. In the past, there were only a few small cement companies in Qintang District, with an annual output of only a few hundred thousand tons. Relying on the advantages of low-cost water transportation and high market competitiveness, Qintang District has produced more than 10 million tons of cement annually in the past five years, reaching 5.42 million tons in the first half of this year. With China Resources Cement (Guigang) Co., Ltd., TCC (Guigang) Cement Co., Ltd. has completed the construction of prefabricated buildings, solid waste disposal projects, and Guigang Conch TCC New Material Technology Co., Ltd. with an investment of 150 million yuan with an annual output of 50,000 tons The construction of cement admixtures and 150,000 tons of concrete admixtures projects started, adding new impetus to the green building materials industry in Qintang District.
The rise of the port has also stimulated the rapid development of the timber industry in Qintang District. Meng Shaojian, deputy general manager of Huasheng Wood Company, introduced that one-third of the company's raw materials and products are transported by water. Compared with road transportation, each cubic meter of board saves 20 yuan in freight.
Wood processing enterprises in Qintang District started from several wood chip mills and planing mills. Relying on the golden waterway of the Xijiang River, they have now developed into an industrial cluster with more than 1,600 plywood, decorative board and furniture manufacturing enterprises. In 2020, the output of wood-based panels in Qintang District was 14.49 million cubic meters, accounting for more than 30% of Guangxi's total output. In the first half of this year, the area's wood-based panel output was 8.39 million cubic meters, an increase of 35.6%. At present, the Guangxi Guigang (Qintang) Green Home Furnishing Industry Cluster Project, which covers an area of 10,000 mu with a total investment of 15.2 billion yuan, is also carrying out large-scale foundation construction, which will write a new chapter in the development of the green home industry in Qintang District.
In the core area of the New Material Science and Technology Park in Qintang Industrial Park, covering an area of 5565 acres, there are many companies and towers. The park has 68 enterprises in the fields of fine chemicals and environmental protection new materials. The total output value of the science and technology park in 2020 is 34.7. 100 million yuan, entered the list of the first batch of key chemical parks in Guangxi. In the first half of this year, the total output value of the science and technology park increased by 1.5 times year-on-year.
At the same time, the intelligent equipment manufacturing industry in Qintang District is in the ascendant. With a total investment of 230 million yuan and an annual output value of 190 million yuan, Guigang Jingyunda Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. and other three companies have completed and put into production, the intelligent equipment manufacturing industry in Qintang District has achieved rapid development from scratch. In the first half of this year, the output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non-button type) in this area reached 230,000, and the output of industrial automatic adjustment instruments and control systems reached 274 (sets). Industrial supporting facilities are improving day by day
Next to the wharf cluster in Qintang District, Guigang Xijiang Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) project site with a total investment of 727 million yuan and a total construction area of 162,000 square meters, standard bonded warehouses, customs supervision warehouses, customs inspection supervision centers, inspection and quarantine houses And the import and export commodity transaction supervision center, e-commerce exclusive warehouse, etc. are stepping up construction.
In 2020, the total import and export volume of Qintang District's foreign trade increased by 67.9% year-on-year, the growth rate ranked first in Guigang City, and it increased by more than 5 times in the first half of this year. "After the project is completed and put into operation next year, it will provide foreign trade companies with services such as container ordering, warehousing and transportation, customs declaration and inspection, so as to achieve "zero inventory" and save storage costs; services such as insurance policies, warehouse receipt pledges and guarantee credit enhancement will be introduced to solve Corporate financing problems; exploring the creation of an import model from Guangzhou's “water-to-water” import model, introducing upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry into the bonded logistics center to better serve the construction of the Pearl River-Xijiang Economic Belt and the new land-sea corridor in the west." said Zhong Gaoji, manager of the project engineering department.
In terms of land transportation, the roads of the Industrial Park along the Yujiang River in Qintang District crisscross, with Nanguang High-speed Railway, Guangkun Expressway, and Guilong Expressway running through the entire territory. "The West Outer Ring Expressway under construction is planned to be completed in 2023. By then, the main and connecting lines of Qintang District will benefit from 42.7 kilometers. After the 6.7-kilometer Qintang South Surrounding City Road is completed and opened to traffic, Qintang City will be open to traffic. The logistics industry in Qintang District is taking advantage of the trend to develop.
