EQ3, a designer, manufacturer and retailer of furniture and household goods, announced that it has opened its new flagship store and largest retail store in the CF Polo Park shopping center in Winnipeg, the company’s hometown. The new 44,000 square foot space is located on the main floor of the shopping mall and features an in-house restaurant designed by award-winning Deer + Almond chef Madel Hitzer and EQ3’s new concept series Palli Home + Company.

"EQ3 is proud to open our first Canadian flagship store in Manitoba and use the vast possibilities of this space to help shape our community," said Peter Tielmann, founder and CEO of EQ3. "Our unique Canadian design approach is deeply inspired by our hometown of Winnipeg, so we are honored to share this work with customers, friends and family in our new showroom."

Reimagined EQ3 experience

In collaboration with Winnipeg-based construction company Number TEN, the slatted exterior of the flagship store was designed by former EQ3 creative director Thom Fougere. The interior is designed by the current chief design officer Enri Tielmann. The charming new showroom brings everything about EQ3 to life by adding unexpected elements. The architecture and interior design of the store combines the prairie with warm elements, combining the characteristics of herringbone flooring, traditional wall panels and soft woodwork.

The new location also serves as an innovation center for EQ3, introducing new products and technologies. Three specialized design centers provide customers and interior designers with areas for one-on-one consultations with sales staff, and can use all the brand's fabrics, finishes, carpet samples and 3D visualization software. Digital video walls and QR codes will guide customers to understand detailed product information and appear in the entire space to provide an immersive experience.

"As we move into the experiential retail space, we are taking a holistic approach to change the way people reimagine their homes," Peter Tielmann added. "We made some discoveries in the store

Customer space, tools and even nutrition, while they spend time physically interacting with the product and personalizing the design. "

EQ3 coffee shop adopts a monolithic bar counter design and 40 dining seats, laying the foundation for a spacious space. The cafe’s menu is created by internationally renowned chef Mandel Hitzer, fresh casual dining featuring local ingredients and modern California cuisine, complemented by a complete bar and unique wine list.

To celebrate the opening of its hometown, EQ3 is collaborating with new brands such as Global Trunk, OMY, The Dough Project, QWOO, Alessi and Silk & Snow to sell products for the children, pets and plants section of its store. It is unique to the Winnipeg area.

Palli Home + Company

The new flagship store also launched EQ3's new concept series Palli Home + Company, including vibrant furniture, carpets and accessories. The series features larger furniture, emphasizing functionality and durability. Like the core EQ3 series, all decorations are manufactured in Winnipeg. The series will be available in all EQ3 stores and online in early 2022.

"The new Palli Home + Company series is designed for modern life," said Enri Tielmann, Chief Design Officer of EQ3. "Aiming to create endless solutions for unique environments, the interior decoration series combines modularity and functionality, supplemented by fun and easy care.

Can be configured, reconfigured, expanded, reduced, and mirrored segmented configuration. All are made with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, with sustainable performance coverings and the comfort of feathers and memory foam. "
