Myanmar's Timber Exports Rose Against The Trend, And The Export Value Rose Year-on-year

According to information released by the Ministry of Commerce and Trade of Myanmar, from October 1 to February 4 in the 2021-2022 fiscal year, Myanmar exported wood products to foreign countries with a trading volume of US$56.379 million, an increase of more than US$3 million compared with the same period last year.


From October 1st to February 4th, 2021-2022, the export of wood products to foreign countries obtained a trading volume of US$56.379 million, and the same period last year achieved a trading volume of US$53.366 million. Therefore, if the two periods are compared, this year is more than last year. $3.019 million in trade volume.


It is understood that Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animal products, aquatic products, mineral products, wood products, industrial raw materials, and some other products to foreign countries. During the 2020-2021 fiscal year, Myanmar received a total trade value of more than 29.5 billion US dollars, a decrease of 7.146 billion US dollars from the trade value obtained in the previous fiscal year.


From October to the end of September in the 2020-2021 fiscal year, Myanmar's export value was more than 14.9206 billion US dollars, and its import value was more than 14.658 billion US dollars, with a cumulative total of more than 29.585 billion US dollars. In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, it received more than 17.681 billion US dollars, and the import value received more than 19.05 billion US dollars, with a total of more than 36.731 billion US dollars.


To sum up, comparing the 2020-2021 fiscal year with the 2019-2020 fiscal year, the trade volume obtained in the 2020-2021 fiscal year was more than $7,146.793 million lower than the trade volume obtained in the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
