On November 9, 2022, the China Wood Protection Industry Association organized a review meeting for the "Solid Wood Furniture Capital in Southern China" project, which reviewed the development and planning of the solid wood furniture industry in Beiliu City, Guangxi.

Chairman Liu Nengwen pointed out that in March this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other six departments jointly issued the "Notice on Carrying out the 2022 Green Building Materials Going to the Countryside Activities", which aims to accelerate the production, certification, promotion and application of green building materials, promote green consumption, and help the construction of beautiful villages. China Wood Protection Industry Association, as the deputy head unit of the Green Building Materials Going to the Countryside Promotion Leading Group, is responsible for the development and organization of the wood home furnishing industry. Furniture home furnishing is the main product of this green building materials going to the countryside activity. Carrying out the project review of the capital of solid wood furniture in the south will help the positioning of the solid wood furniture industry in Beiliu City and promote the green and high-quality development of the home furniture industry in Beiliu City.
At the meeting, Deng Quan, director of Beiliu City Forestry Bureau, introduced the development of Beiliu City's solid wood furniture industry. Beiliu City is the largest solid wood furniture production and distribution base in Guangxi. It has been awarded the "Guangxi Famous Furniture City", "Guangxi Modern Characteristic Forestry Industry Core Demonstration Zone", and the Guangxi Autonomous Region-level Forestry Industry Demonstration Park. In accordance with the requirements of the municipal party committee and the municipal government to develop the green high-end home furniture industry, learn from the successful experience of the construction of furniture industrial parks inside and outside the district, aim at the frontier and development trend of the industry, give full play to resource advantages, identify industry positioning, and adhere to characteristic and dislocation development, Promote the implementation of the plan of "one street, two towns, three districts, 10 billion and 1000 enterprises", promote the construction of furniture industrial parks, and focus on building solid wood furniture industrial clusters.
After the review by the expert group, it was agreed that the solid wood furniture industry cluster in Beiliu City was prominent, the five major industrial platforms were initially built, and the furniture industry park was planned scientifically, and they agreed to pass the project review.
