1、 Classification of solid wood flooring
(1) According to the different processing shapes, it can be divided into flat ended flooring (flat jointed wooden flooring) and grooved flooring (mortise jointed wooden flooring).

2、 Identification of solid wood
(1) Texture: It is the standard for judging the quality of a floor. Regular and elegant textures should not be used for floors with disorderly textures.
(2)Color: High quality solid wood flooring should have natural tones, clear wood grain, and visible materials to the naked eye. If the surface color of the floor is dark and the paint layer is thick, it may be intentional to cover up the surface defects of the floor, especially when the floor is sealed with six sided paint.
(3)Cracks: It is inevitable for mid to low-end floors to have cracks, but if they are too large, it is not good. Some cracks occur between the textures of the wood, which do not extend and can be used with confidence. However, some cracks penetrate the texture and should not be purchased as they will extend and have a significant negative impact on the future.
(4) Jiezi: refers to the knot scar, which can be divided into living and dead knots. As a natural product, it is impossible to have knots without them. The reasonable distribution of knots will actually make wooden products more beautiful. High quality products are not allowed to have defective knots. According to national regulations, any live knots with a diameter of ≤ 3mm and any dead knots with a diameter of ≤ 2mm that have not fallen off and are very dense are not considered defective knots. In addition, some floors are made of tree core materials and materials close to the bark of trees, so be careful not to raise the level and price of merchants. Some floors use wood that has been eaten by a large number of insects, leaving many insect holes. The wood of this type of floor is not very good, so it is necessary to be careful when purchasing, except for deliberately made antique pure handmade solid wood floors.
