Regardless of whether it is the original wood board or plywood, the panels should be used in the same room with similar colors and patterns; when installing the wall panels, the convex surface of the wood should be placed inward, and the color and wood grain of the adjacent panels should be similar.

When cutting the board, the solid wood board should be slightly larger than the actual size of the dragon skeleton, the large surface is clear, the small surface is straightened, the root of the wood grain is down, and the length direction needs to be connected, the pattern should be smooth, and the joint position should avoid the line of sight.

The splicing of wooden wall panels is generally below 1.2m from the ground. At the same time, the joint position must be on the horizontal keel. When wooden wall panels need to be divided into blocks to leave seams, if the design is not required, they can generally be made into 6 – 10mm flat grooves or eight-shaped grooves, and the position of the groove should be on the vertical dragon frame. The matched panel should be planed. After a suitable trial installation, paste a layer of moisture-proof paper on the back of the wall panel, and the formally install it. The joints should be nailed with adhesive. The length of the fixed board nails is 2 - 2.5 times the thickness of the panel, and the spacing is generally 200mm. The nail caps should be flattened, and the nail caps should be flushed into the surface layer in the direction of the wood grain with a sharp punch 1 – 2mm.

Precautions for installation of solid wood wall panels

1.       Avoid different thicknesses, uneven heights, cracks, etc. of the top strips of the parapet board: Mainly because of the careless selection of wooden strips of the same thickness and similar colors. Before starting installation, pull the wire to check whether the top of the wall panel is straight, and correct any problems in time.

2.       Avoid loose joints or cracks; mainly due to the large moisture content of the wood and shrinkage after drying. The reasons for unevenness are often due to too small nails, too large nail spacing, and missing adhesives, etc.

3.       Avoid surface pattern disorder uneven color, uneven edges and corners, uneven surface, black lines at the seams and lax seams, etc.: Mainly due to careless. The wood type, color and pattern should be used in a room: before the panel is installed, the size of the block should be designed, and the square of each block should be found straight and then tested and installed once, and then formally after adjustment and repair.
