1. MDF
1. Concept: MDF is divided into medium density fiberboard (medium density board) and hard fiberboard (high density board), etc., the density of 450-800 kg/m3 is medium density fiberboard, and the density is above 800 kg/m3 It is hardboard. MDF is made of plant wood fiber as the main raw material, which is made by hot grinding, paving, hot pressing and other processes.
2. Features: MDF has a smooth surface, fine material, stable performance, firm edges, and good decorative properties on the surface of the board. However, MDF has poor moisture resistance, and in contrast, MDF has worse nail holding power than particleboard. If the screw is loosened after tightening, it is difficult to fix it again because of the low strength of MDF.
3. Uses: Mainly used for laminate flooring, door panels, partition walls, furniture, etc. MDF is mainly used for surface treatment of mixed oil process in home decoration.
4. Selection: MDF mainly detects the formaldehyde emission and structural strength. The MDF is divided into E1 and E2 grades according to the formaldehyde emission, and the formaldehyde emission exceeds 30mg/100g, which is unqualified. Generally speaking, most of the density boards of the scale of the production plant are qualified. Most of the MDF on the market are E2 grade, and E1 grade is less.
