Among them, some of them are boards that look similar but have different names due to different craftsmanship, and there are also a lot of "flower names" that actually refer to the same kind of boards. Three major man-made boards: density board, particle board, plywood.
1. Density board (fiber density board)
Broad sense: starting from the concept and definition of the term "density board", it can be distinguished by raw materials and density. According to the raw materials, it can be divided into plywood, veneer and particleboard, and according to the density can be divided into low, medium and high density grades.
Narrow sense: The density board mentioned in the market generally refers to fiberboard, which is made by smashing wood, branches and other objects in water and then crushing it. Here is the classification.
1. High-density fiberboard (hard fiberboard) (HDF)
High-density fiberboard is compatible with all the advantages of MDF.
Uses: indoor and outdoor decoration, office, high-end furniture, audio, high-end car interior decoration, can also be used as a computer room anti-static floor, wall panels, anti-theft doors, wall panels, partitions, etc. production materials. In recent years, it has replaced high-grade hardwood directly into composite flooring, laminate flooring, etc., and is widely used in interior decoration.
2. Medium density fiberboard (MDF)
The internal structure is uniform, the density is moderate, the dimensional stability is good, the amount of deformation is small, and the physical and mechanical properties are moderate. The surface is flat and smooth, and the machining performance is good, and sliced veneer or patterns can be pasted on it.
Uses: often used to make furniture, partitions, etc. It is an excellent material for furniture manufacturing and interior decoration of buildings.

The soft fiberboard has the properties of insulation, heat insulation and sound absorption.
Uses: Buildings, such as the siding and ceiling of broadcasting rooms, theaters, etc.

2. Particleboard (particle board)
1. Oriented Strand Board (Ou Song board, OSB board)
Ou Song board is the fastest growing board in the world, and it is an upgraded product of blockboard and plywood. Low formaldehyde emission, strong and durable, and lighter than furniture made of medium-density fiberboard, solid wood particle board, and melamine board.
Uses: Widely used in construction, decoration, furniture, packaging and other fields.
There is also a kind of board called LSB board, light-weight high-strength oriented strand board, which is an upgraded version of OSB board, which can be directly veneered.

Three, plywood
1. Ecological board
Also called melamine board, paint-free board, antibacterial board, clean board, etc. Eco-board uses a variety of panels, which are a kind of laminated panels in terms of production process.
Broad sense: Ecological board is a decorative board made of particleboard, density fiberboard, plywood, blockboard and other boards as the base material. After processing paper with different colors or textures, it is heat-pressed on the surface of the decorative board. The name of the eco-board is too general, and many eco-friendly boards can also be called eco-board.
Narrow sense: The ecological board mentioned in the market generally refers to melamine board (melamine impregnated adhesive film paper facing artificial board).
2. Artisan wood board (large core board)
The plywood with solid wood core is processed by cutting logs into strips, splicing them into cores, and veneer materials. The characteristics of blockboard are mainly determined by the core board structure.
Uses: furniture manufacturing, sewing machine bedplates, carriages, ships, etc. production and construction industry, etc.

The difference between blockboard and melamine board: the surface layer of blockboard is bark (decorative panel). The surface of the ecological board is melamine paper.
3. Multilayer solid wood board (multilayer board)
Three plywood/three plywood is also a kind of multi-layer solid wood board, which is made by gluing three layers of thin wood boards together according to different grain directions. The environmental protection grade reaches E1, and it is characterized by small deformation and high strength.
Uses: Most commonly used in hand-made furniture.
Four, solid wood board
Solid wood panels are wood panels made of intact wood (logs). Solid wood boards are generally classified according to the name of the board substance (log material), and there is no unified standard specification. Due to the high cost of solid wood boards and the high requirements for construction technology, they are not used much in decoration.
