5. Particle board

Particleboard is a thin board made from wood chips as the main raw material, infiltrated with glue, and pressed with additives. According to the pressing method, it can be divided into two categories: extruded particleboard and flat pressed particleboard. The main advantage of this type of board is its extremely cheap price. Its drawbacks are also obvious: extremely poor strength. It is generally not suitable for making furniture that is larger or has mechanical requirements.

6. Density board

Density board, also known as fiberboard. Wood fiber or other plant fibers are used as raw materials, and urea formaldehyde resin or other applicable adhesives are applied to make artificial boards. According to their different densities, they can be divided into high-density boards, medium density boards and low-density boards. Due to its soft and impact resistant nature, density boards are also easy to reprocess. In foreign countries, density board is a good material for making furniture, but due to the national standard for height board being several times lower than the international standard, the quality of density board usage in China still needs to be improved.

7. Fireproof board

Fireproof board is a decorative board made of silica or calcium materials as main raw materials, mixed with a certain proportion of fiber materials, lightweight aggregates, Adhesive and chemical additives, and autoclaved. It is a new type of material that is increasingly used, and its use is not only due to fire prevention factors. The construction of fireproof boards requires high adhesive adhesion, and high-quality fireproof boards are also more expensive than decorative panels. The thickness of fireproof boards is generally 0.8mm, 1mm, and 1.2mm.

Melamine board

Melamine board, full name is melamine impregnated film paper facing Engineered wood, which is a kind of wall decoration material. The manufacturing process involves soaking paper with different colors or textures in melamine resin adhesive, drying it to a certain degree of curing, and laying it on the surface of particle board, medium density fiberboard, or hard fiberboard, which is then hot pressed into a decorative board.
