There are many kinds of wood board used for furniture, floor and wall decoration. Some consumers are questioning on the type of wood wall decoration to use. There are few types of sticking wood board which can be classified as below: -
1. Solid Wood Panels
Solid wood panels are made of complete wood of natural materials. These boards are durable and have natural textures which is a best choice for decoration. Solid wood panel is environmentally friendly and healthy, and it will not produce a peculiar smell after installation. If the room is decorated as a whole, there is no painting process require.
2. Plywood
Plywood is commonly known as a thin core board in the industry. It is formed by hot pressing of three or more layers of one millimetre thick veneer or sheet glue. It is a commonly used material for handmade furniture. Splints are generally divided into six specifications of 3cm, 5cm, 12cm, 15cm and 18cm.
3. Decorative Panel
Commonly known as panel. It is a decorative board with single-sided decoration made by precision slicing of solid wood board into a thin veneer with a thickness of about 0.2mm. It is a special way of the splint, with thickness of 3 centimetres. Decorative panels are currently a kind of advanced decoration materials that are different from mixed oil practices.
4. Blockboard
Commonly known as a big core board in the industry. The big core board is made of two pieces of veneer glued and spliced in between. The price of a large core board is higher than that of a thin core board, and its vertical (differentiated by the direction of the core material) is poor in flexural and compressive strength, but its transverse flexural and compressive strength is higher.
5. Printed Wood Grain Board
Printed wood grain board is wood grain printed on plywood and made of resin film, which is resistant to water, abrasion and pollution. The veneer wood board is made of plywood with plastic veneer, or covered with artificial leather, flannel, etc. There are two types of wood panel installation: whole wall paneling and wall skirt paneling. Generally, the vertical wooden wall bars will be fixed on the wall and continues with fixing it on the skeleton with wood screws or nails. If the existing wall finish is in good condition, it can fix the board on the wall with an adhesive.
6. Resin Board
Resin board is also called as plastic veneer, with imitating wood grain, imitating natural stone and other patterns on it with smooth and flat, easy to clean and resistant to friction. When decorating the wall, it can be directly attached to the wall with adhesive. Due to the brittle nature of plastic sheets, nails are not suitable for fixing.
7. Gypsum Board
The characteristics of gypsum board are strong three-dimensional and smooth surface. The board can be sawed and planed, and it can be pasted on the wall with glue.
