Large deciduous tree. The plant height can reach 20 meters; the density is 641kg/m3; the heartwood is brown in color, the sapwood is white to yellow in color, and the grain is straight in diameter; it is a good wood for furniture and carving

 

 

South American walnut is mainly distributed in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina and Mexico. Diameter section is an American dark brown with black stripes. Grain is straight to wavy, with a rather coarse structure.

 

 

The growth cycle of American walnut can reach hundreds of years. The tree has a high rate of late wood, hard material, fine texture, good dimensional stability, small expansion and contraction rate, and the product is not easy to deform. The growth rings of trees show obvious annual ring characteristics due to the stop of growth in winter, and beautiful patterns will appear after cutting.
