In the first half of 2023, China's fiberboard exports fell by 4%, with output reduced to 1.009 million tons, worth US$558 million, a 14% increase from the same period in 2022. Nigeria was my country's largest fiberboard export market in the first half of 2023, but exports to Nigeria fell 15% to 129,000 tons.
China's fiberboard exports to Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Algeria and Russia increased by 35%, 6%, 101%, 69% and 55% respectively compared with the same period in 2022.
The United States is not the longest market for Chinese fiberboard, with exports falling 47% in the first half of 2023. China's fiberboard exports to the United States increased by 19% in 2022 due to strong demand, with output of 187,392 tons.
