The average price of almost all types of Finnish logs increased in December 2023. Compared with November, conifer log prices were up about 1% and pulpwood prices were up 2% to 5%, depending on trade and species.
The average price for standing sales of spruce logs in December was 71.0 euros per cubic meter, and the average price for pine logs was 67.5 euros per cubic meter. These prices were up slightly from November and ended up being about 5% lower than the average price for all of last year.
The national average price of birch logs is 59.2 euros. This is 2% lower than November and 15% higher than the 2022 average.
