The railroad transportation of timber in Russia is declining from January to November, according to a report by the Russian freight railroad media "RZD Partner."
Among them, the loading of wood products was drastically reduced on the railroads that faced the Far East.
The East Siberian Railway loaded about 3 million tons of wood and products used in the processing of wood between January and November, a decrease of 47.1% from the same period last year.
On other routes, the decline in timber shipments was also observed.
The Trans-Baikal Railway decreased its shipments of timber by 17.2% from January to November to 201,700 tons, and the Far Eastern Railway decreased them by 10% to 3 million tons.

With westbound shipments falling by 75%, November saw losses in fertilizers, ores, metals, oil, and particularly timber.
The delivery of timber products through the checkpoints of the Far Eastern Federal District decreased by 8% from month to month and 10.3% from year to year from the perspective of timber exports in just November of this year.
