On June 20, a Chongqing Guangzhou train full of European spruce timber arrived in Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing. This is the first train to be launched after Wilhelmshaven of Germany, Chongqing Orchard Port and Port of Guangzhou reached a strategic cooperation agreement, which will effectively promote the linkage between the three ports and further expand the radiation range of Chongqing Guangzhou Line.
This batch of timber was sent from Wilhelmshaven, Germany, and transported to Nansha Port, Guangzhou by sea, then transferred to Chongqing Guangzhou Express to reach the national logistics hub of Guoyuan Port. Chongqing Guoyuan Port International Logistics Hub Construction and Development Co., Ltd., Niu Xiandan, stated that relying on the strong radiation and driving capabilities of the three major ports, the operation of this train can further improve the sea rail intermodal transportation route of Guoyuan Port and enrich the collection and distribution service system of Guoyuan Port's national logistics hub.
At the same time, various parties are continuously promoting the normalized operation of this train, opening up more diverse new routes for rail sea intermodal transportation for enterprises in the central and western regions to explore international markets such as Europe.
In April this year, Wilhelmshaven, Germany, Chongqing Guoyuan Port and Port of Guangzhou signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation between Wilhelmshaven Container Terminal&Logistics Park, Port of Guangzhou Group and Guoyuan Port National Logistics Hub.
It is one of the contents of the agreement to build a sea rail intermodal express channel of Trans-Eurasia Logistics, a national logistics hub of Wilhelmshaven Port of Guangzhou Guoyuan Port. Niu Xiandan stated that after the train * *, the three parties will further strengthen their linkage in areas such as connectivity, resource sharing, and personnel exchange, and enhance the linkage ability of the logistics network system.
In addition, the linkage between the Orchard Port and Port of Guangzhou has begun. In 2022, the two-way train of Chongqing Guangzhou Sea Railway (Chongqing Guoyuan Port Guangzhou Nansha Port) will be officially put into operation. At present, it has been stably shipped twice a week, with the fastest time limit of 3 days, which can effectively connect the two economic circles of Chengdu Chongqing and Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
